Lysit – White aggregates with high performance

Especially for all road construction and concrete applicators we introduce this hard, white high performance aggregate. This split is a perfect substitution for all white aggregates, from quartz to silicium, dolomite and marble. And we obtain far better mechanical resistance! This white aggregate is perfect for ashpalt, concrete, road concrete, decorative concrete, etc. And thus with mechanical properties of a porphyry or basalt! Perfect for all high end applications where whiteness & mechanical resistance are important.

Lysit, import of a eruptive hardstone

Lysit is produced in a magmatic hard stone quarry. It contains a lot of minerals and is also very strong. This aggregate (and its sand) contain a high amount of aluminiumdioxide (Al2O3) and can also be used in other industries like ceramics, paints, coatings, isolation, etc.

For asphalt & concrete this is by far the best white aggregate you can get:

• white color with reflective properties
• PSV >= 50
• LA : 12
• MDE : 7
• Water absorption :  0,7% (low)
• Alcali-silica reaction : non-reactive (NR)

The use of Lysit

As stated this white aggregate can be used in plenty of applications. In northern France and Belgium we have applications with LYSIT. Also in the Netherlands, Germany and Scandinavian countries the lysit is frequently used for bitumen, asphalt, concrete, etc. This white aggregate can be used for light reflexion applications at acceptable costs : these aggregates are not extremely expensive, do not undertake environmental high impact treatments and are easily available. The light reflexion capacity is important in road engineering. With higher reflexions on roads man can reduce electricity consumptions, which is good for nature and financial circumstances. A win-win for your budget and the environment.

These white aggregates can be introduced in all mixtures and don’t have to replace the whole package. Also, the lysit has a higher skid resistance and a high polish value (PSV). Also in concrete it has a magnificent effect, washed or ….
